Laser Vascular Lesion Removal
Very fast laser vein treatment is used to treat tiny varicose veins and spider veins that are just under the skin’s surface. A laser is a focused beam of light. This type of laser is aimed to be used on the surface of the skin. The treatment uses the heat of the laser to scar and close varicose veins.
Varicose veins look dark blue, swollen, and twisted under the skin. They develop most often in the legs and ankles. They are caused by weakened valves and veins in your legs and other places in your body. These valves keep blood flowing toward your heart. When these valves don’t work as they should, blood collects, and pressure builds up. The pressure causes the veins to become twisted and enlarged.
Spider veins are a form of varicose veins. They look like thin, bluish webs.
The laser is aimed at an affected vein. The laser light goes through the skin to treat the vein. You won’t have any cuts, but the heat from the laser may cause some discomfort.
The laser causes scar tissue that closes the vein. After it is closed, a vein loses its source of blood. In time, the vein is harder to see.
A session takes 15 to 20 minutes. Usually more than one laser session is needed. You might have another session in 6 to 12 weeks.
Laser treatment for vascular lesions is also highly effective for removing a variety of benign pigmented lesions, such as freckles, age spots, melasma, & more.
